Michael Brewer

Michael Brewer is a conductor and director.

In 2013 Michael Brewer was convicted of historical sexual assault. The assaults dated back to the 1970s. After giving evidence, his accuser died by suicide. He was sentenced to 6 years in prison and stripped of his OBE. Chetham’s School of Music had already forced Brewer to retire in 1994 after he molested a 17-year old student.
