Joel Collier is a euphonium player.
Collier allegedly groomed and repeatedly assaulted a young musician in his faith-based music ministry over the course of years, beginning with explicit messages, photos, and videos, escalating to violent sexual assault. A 2025 lawsuit alleges that the Salvation Army of Kentucky and Tennessee, his employer during the time of the assaults, knew before hiring him that he had previously been fired from a branch of the Salvation Army in the Northeastern US for sending graphic sexual messages to a child.
