Peter Ellefson plays trombone.
In 2025 the Indiana Daily Student reported allegations of inapprioriate sexual behavior by trombone professor Peter Ellefson to a seminar student during a 2007 seminar. Indiana Daily Student reported Ellefson stated he had no reason to disbelieve his accuser’s claims. Ellefson continues to teach at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where Ellefson’s colleague Demondrae Thurman was terminated the previous year for sexual misconduct allegations.
