David St. George was an artistic director and advisor.
David St. George, artistic advisor to Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and long-time collaborator of its founder Benjamin Zander, was arrested in 2018 for possession of child pornography. Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra terminated him shortly thereafter. Along with BPYO colleague Benjamin Vickers, St. George is one of three people hired by Benjamin Zander found to have engaged in illegal or inappropriate sexual behavior; the first such incident led to the dismissal of Zander from his first youth orchestra, the NEC Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. St. George pled guilty in 2022 and was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
