Richard Buckley

Richard Buckley is a conductor and director.

In 2018 Austin Opera terminated artistic director Richard Buckley following allegations of harassment. In a statement Austin Opera revealed that they found his behavior in violation of policy on harassment. The Austin American-Statesman detailed unwanted sexual behavior witnessed or experienced by two women. After his termination the Associated Press reported that 7 women came forward accusing Buckley of sexual misconduct.
