Lee Chandler Carter

Lee Chandler Carter is a composer.

In 2018, Lee Chandler Carter enclosed an unsolicited letter professing attraction to one of his female undergraduate students with her final graded project. After she reported it to the university, he apologized. His apology was published in Newsweek. Hofstra University stated that they neither condoned nor prohibited such behavior since she was no longer his student, and that they would revisit their sexual harassment policy. As of 2025, Carter remains at Hofstra.
